Waverly Cognitive was founded by a board of healthcare and education professionals with over 40 years of combined experience in collaborative practice, working alongside PhDs specializing in behavioral health and education. Our programs are developed with clinical insight, educational expertise, and compassionate oversight from professionals trained in supporting neurodivergent diagnoses — ranging from dementia to autism, and everything in between.
We believe that every person deserves to thrive. Every individual deserves to feel valued, included, and deeply connected to a community. At Waverly Cognitive, people are met with compassion, patience, dignity, and kindness — not labels, limitations, or assumptions.
Our model is intentionally intergenerational, built on the belief that meaningful connection across the lifespan creates stronger individuals, stronger families, and stronger communities. We provide services within one unified community setting — supporting individuals at every stage of life.
From Adult Day Enrichment programs and dementia-specific services, to Early Childhood Enrichment, Integrative Preschool, and creative community programming, Waverly Cognitive is designed to serve throughout the lifespan. Our programs include art, music, movement, cooking, social connection, laughter, learning, and purposeful engagement — because growth happens through joy, connection, and shared experience.
We are proud to be the first center of its kind in the DMV area, offering a fully integrated, lifespan-focused, neurodivergent-centered community model. Waverly Cognitive is more than a center — it is a place to belong, to learn, to live fully, and to grow together.
